![]() I want to say thank you to Tommie Vegas and Shane Ryan for great performances which made the film work. Special thanks to my old comrade in arms Tony Riparetti for a terrific sound Design and music score. Michael Su shot the beautiful and disturbing imagery. All were so talented that I feel fortunate to have had them and the great shooting environment at Indie Film Factory to create such a wildly ambitious film. And with Glen Cochrane's poster art and design, "The Interrogation Of Cheryl Cooper" gets ready to go out into an unsuspecting world! - Albert. Like our new film on Facebook.

Well, The Pollygrind Underground Film Festival has seen "The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper" and wants the film to open this years festival on October 16! Wow...only a festival like Pollygrind would understand The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper! A true filmmakers' festival. Open minded and courageous! Should be fun and I'm really proud of the film , especially as it was written, shot and edited while I was in the midst of the worst part of my disease. The festival loved Tommie Vegas' performance. I hope the film really gets her rightful attention for a remarkable performance. And her co-star Shane Ryan will attention as well. I couldn't be happier! On the Napoleon front, I am talking with Nu Boyana Studio in Sofia Bulgaria about basing there for a large chunk of the Napoleon shoot, particularly interiors. Cyn and I expect to scout the studio around the third week of September if my health allows. But the news about "The Interrrogation of Cheryl Cooper" has made feel good. I especially like that the performances by the two stars was recognized! Yay. - Albert.
As I am completing Cyborg Nemesis' post (and after several test screenings) to reach its final form. I completed Road To Hell's final version in July and at the same time, The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper was completed. So with more time and better health, I am going to attempt the most ambitious film I've ever attempted to make - a version of "Napoleon". The film would take place in the period of French History when the Reign of Terror reached its climax and Napoleon's rise to power via the Coup D'etat in 1799. Scott Paulin (Maximilliam Robespierre) and Norbert weisser ( Saint-Just) have signed on board. More details as we complete casting! Shooting to begin in November. - Albert.
![]() I think this article was written before the DCs of Cyborg (SLINGER), Knights (KINGDOM OF METAL), Omega Doom and the DC's of the Nemesis films. - Albert. With a career spanning over 30 years, Hawaiian director Albert Pyun has worked in just about every genre, and forged a reputation as a modern era answer to Ed Wood. Pyun’s career has pretty much entirely taken place in B movies. Almost fifty films ranging from low budget, to virtually no budget. His passion for movie-making is immense and he still works to this day, even through ill-health. Click here to read more... Incredibly prolific cult director Albert Pyun announced via Twitter and Facebook this week that he is suffering from MS and that his health has gotten bad enough that he is retiring from filmmaking, effective immediately. He directed 47 films during his 30-year career, most commonly in the sci-fi and action genres. Because he worked so often, because his budgets were so low and his films went straight to DVD, Pyun has earned the reputation of being a kind of modern-day Ed Wood. It's a label at once unfairly dismissive and appropriate, if only because, like Wood, Pyun loved making movies and continued to make them no matter what challenges lay before him. He didn't always have the budget or the resources to fulfill his vision, but there's still vision on the screen. Too many critics only ever saw the limitations. Not his fans. I'm a fan and proud of it. Click here to read more.
![]() When we last left our heroes… err, Cannon Films, they had two box office disasters with Masters of the Universe and Superman IV: The Quest For Peace, and after having already invested reportedly over two-million dollars in pre-production, had now lost the rights to both the Masters of the Universe franchise and the license to their highly anticipated Spider-Man live-action film. On the brink of collapse, Cannon put what little they had left into the hands of director Albert Pyun to throw a Hail Mary pass. So let’s hit the rewind button and see what happened…Click here to read more. Another article where I am mentioned with my good friend and collaborator in mayhem Vince Klyn! It's too bad Knights couldn't be the sequel to Cyborg as it was first intended. My director's Cut of "Knights" clarifies the tie ins so the viewer can see how the sequel might have been. It does have the original title KINGDOM OF METAL, and the sub-title of CYBORG KILLER. Vince's role was changed when it became a stand alone known as KNIGHTS. - Albert.
