![]() The Pollygrind Film Festival gave out some Awards day before yesterday and last night owing to the festival disruption. We'll receive our awards on closing night of the Festival but we were awarded some nice ones as they informed me. You'll see why on October 30th, great performances by Tommie Vegas, Shane Ryan and Brittany Bochart. Definitely one of my most talented and really hard working casts ever. If it were a bigger film and had a studio backing it, they'd win even bigger recognition for their work. Truly Tour De Force performances - ALBERT.

![]() How did an 80s Van Damme action flick emerge from a failed Spider-Man movie and Masters Of The Universe sequel? Ryan takes a look...Cannon Films was in deep trouble by 1987. Its boom years, between the late 70s to the mid-80s, were largely thanks to an eclectic and hurriedly-made collection of B-movies: Chuck Norris action pictures, Charles Bronson revenge flicks and lots of things with the word ‘ninja’ in the title... Glenn will fly to Vegas from Melbourne to attend the Oct. screening and be on hand to collect CHOCOLATE, STRAWBERRY, VANILLA's awards! I'm proud to share the double bill with this amazing film! - Albert.
![]() As big fans of Albert Pyun’s Infection (aka Invasion), we’ve been anxiously awaiting more details on his upcoming The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper, another one-take film that the director recently completed. He dropped us a line with an early look at Interrogation‘s new official key art plus the skinny on its premiere, which is happening October 30th at 8 PM at the Galaxy Theater at Green Valley in Henderson, Nevada. - CLICK HERE TO READ FULL ARTICLE Well...a little of drama. The Pollygrind Film festival lost its venue Thursday when Cinemark cancelled hosting due to content concerns of some of the films. Luckily, Chad Freeman was able to relocate the festival to a Galaxy Theater but relocating on short notice meant the festival would be only one day instead of three. And THE INTERROGATION OF CHERYL COOPER would have to screen at 6 PM. Well, no one who worked on the film could attend at that hour as most worked out of state, so in fairness to them, I requested not screening on Oct. 16th and screening two weeks later at a special screening when everyone could attend. Oh, the hassles of filmmaking...Same for Cyborg Nemesis....it will screen with later as well. - Albert.
